Have you been scammed by Orbsoft CEO Maurice McCabe?

We paid for XIProx software (aka ZIProx & ZIPloc) but never received it.

According to the Federal Trade Commission, by law, Orbsoft is required to deliver product within 30 days of purchase or refund money. Maurice McCabe did neither of these and we have been unable to contact him via phone, email, or certified letter. As of 9/18/05, it has been 10 months since the purchase was made.

Attention Zip Code Dealer Locator software buyers: here is what happened

  1. We contacted Orbsoft President and CEO Maurice McCabe about support for his dealer locator software-- ZIProx
  2. Maurice McCabe proceeded to up-sell us on an 'upgrade' to ZIProx. Strangely enough, he renamed the software XIProx. This may be how he covers his tracks
  3. We sent a check for $695 in full for XIProx on Orbsoft invoice #200411062.
  4. Once notified the check was in the mail, we never heard from Maurice McCabe again.
  5. We attempted to mediate with Orbsoft through the Los Angeles Better Business Bureau with no avail.
  6. We are forced to start legal action against Maurice McCabe and Orbsoft.
We have reason to believe that others have been scammed or are subject to be ripped-off.
